Refund and Returns Policy
Every RopeMaster 4000 is hand-built and tested in Tallinn before it ships. If something is wrong with your machine, or you simply change your mind, this page explains where you stand.

Your right to cancel (14 days)
We sell at a distance within the European Union, so you have a statutory right of withdrawal. You may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason.
To cancel, email ropemaster@ledpuu.ee with your order number and tell us you are withdrawing from the purchase. A clear statement by email is enough — there is no form to fill in.
After telling us, send the goods back within 14 days.
We extend this to 30 days
Because a model-ship build rarely starts the week the parcel lands, we voluntarily extend the cancellation window to 30 days from delivery. This is our own policy on top of your statutory 14 days — it does not replace or reduce any legal right you have.
Condition of returned goods
You may unpack the machine and handle it as you would in a shop, to establish what it is and whether it works. That is expressly allowed and does not affect your right to cancel.
If the machine has been used beyond that — for example, fully assembled from the DIY kit, modified, drilled, or run in production — we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value. We will always tell you the amount and why before refunding.
Please return everything that came in the box, in the original packaging where you still have it.
Who pays return postage
- You changed your mind — you pay the return postage.
- The machine is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered — we pay. Contact us before sending anything back and we will arrange it.
The RopeMaster 4000 is a precision bench tool. Please pack it well — damage caused by inadequate return packaging can reduce your refund.
Refunds
Once we receive the goods and check them, we refund within 14 days, using the same payment method you paid with. A card payment goes back to the same card; a bank transfer goes back to the account it came from. We do not charge a fee for refunding.
We refund the price you paid plus the standard outbound shipping cost. If you chose a faster or more expensive delivery option than our standard service, we refund the standard rate.
Depending on your bank, the money can take a few working days to appear after we send it.
Faulty machines and your two-year guarantee
Separately from cancellation, EU law gives you a two-year legal guarantee of conformity. If the machine turns out to be faulty or does not match how it was described, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced, and to a price reduction or refund where that is not possible.
In practice: email us, describe the problem, and send a photo or a short video if you can. We build these machines ourselves, so we can usually identify the issue quickly and send the part you need. Tell us what went wrong before returning anything — a missing screw does not need a machine posted back to Estonia.
Damaged in transit
If the parcel arrives damaged, photograph the packaging before you unpack it if you can, and email us within a few days of delivery. We will sort out a replacement or a refund.
Orders outside the European Union
We ship worldwide. The EU cancellation right described above is a right under EU law; wherever you are, we will still honour our 30-day policy. Import duties, customs charges and taxes in your own country are not refundable by us, because we never receive them.
Dispute resolution
Talk to us first — we answer our own email and would rather fix a problem than argue about it.
If we cannot agree, consumers in Estonia may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet), www.ttja.ee. Consumers elsewhere in the EU may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
